Chick lit alert! Knitting Under the Influence by Claire LaZebnick was my book of choice for the moving process (after Eric packed Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, which I had already started). I needed something  fun, so Knitting was perfect. As usual with books that claim to have a knitting theme, the actual knitting was fairly minimal. The girls in the book, Sari, Kathleen, and Lucy, do get together on Sunday mornings for knitting. And the section headings are called “yarn over, casting on, increases”, but that’s about it. There is one instance of drunken knitting, but if you are a knitter, you know that is not likely (without serious repurcussions anyway)! Of course everything turns out perfectly in the end – each of the girls end up with the perfect guy and all is well (you pretty much know the outcome before you start). If you knit (or aspire to) and are looking for a fun, easy book, then here you go.
